Privacy Policy

"CS Exam Ready," "we," "us," and "our" refer to the operator of the website csexamready.com (the "Site"), which provides computer science tutoring and digital study resources — unit presentations and question banks — for the IB Diploma, CIE, and Edexcel curricula. This policy explains what personal information we collect through the Site, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Who this applies to

Our resources and lessons are built for secondary and pre-university students, many of whom are under 18. If you're under the age of majority where you live, you should only create an account, buy a resource, or book a lesson with a parent or guardian's involvement — they're responsible for any purchase made.

2. Information we collect

• Account information — name, email address, school, and a password (stored securely; we never see it in plain text) when you sign up.
• Purchase records — which resources you've bought, when, and until when your access lasts. We never receive or store your card details — payments for resources are processed directly by Stripe.
• Lesson bookings — when you book through our Cal.com pages, your name, email, and chosen time are handled directly by Cal.com and its own payment processor, not by us.
• Testimonials — if you submit one, we collect your name and the text you write. We review every testimonial before it's published, and will remove a published one at your request.
• Correspondence — if you message us (contact form, WhatsApp, email), we keep a record so we can reply.
• Shopping cart — items you've added to your cart are stored in your own browser (local storage), not on our servers, until you check out. We do not currently use advertising or analytics cookies.

3. How we use it

• to create your account and deliver purchased resources for your access period;
• to process purchases and email you a receipt;
• to send service emails — an access-expiry reminder, or an occasional announcement about new resources (every announcement email includes an unsubscribe link);
• to reply to messages you send us;
• to keep the Site secure, including detecting attempts to share purchased content beyond its intended personal use.

4. Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the Site, each receiving only what they need to do their job:

• Google Firebase — our database, sign-in, and file storage;
• Stripe — payment processing for resource purchases;
• Cal.com — lesson booking and, separately, lesson payment;
• Resend — sends receipt, reminder, and announcement emails on our behalf.

We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing.

5. How long we keep it

We keep your account and purchase records for as long as your account exists, so we can honor your access period and show your purchase history. Email admin@CSExamReady.com to request deletion, except where we're required to retain certain records (e.g. for tax purposes).

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your data, or to object to how we use it. Email admin@CSExamReady.com to exercise any of these.

7. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your data: passwords are never stored in plain text, purchased files are only ever reachable through short-lived secure links issued after we verify you own them, and administrative access to our systems is restricted to us. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top will reflect the latest version, and we'll call out material changes on the Site.
